On Exhibit | Lifespan Healing Arts

In 2007, our work went on display at Rhode Island Hospital as part of the Lifespan Healing Arts Program. The photography exhibit was focused on OO’s early (2001-2004) deep mesophotic scientific work in the Bahamas which contributed to natural products discovery research by a number of collaborators.

This early fieldwork inspired our community programming in the area of Exploration & Human Health, which was a fitting theme to share with visitors to Rhode Island Hospital – educating those within the hospital that hope for a healthier humanity may lie within unexplored parts of our oceans.

What better place to share this information than at home in the Ocean State…
