At the very roots of Ocean Opportunity’s foundation lie a passion for, and continued journey to the deep. The work that inspired our formation – deep scientific exploration in the Bahamas – will continue later this year with a focus on creating a comprehensive portfolio documenting the natural history of the Tongue of the Ocean from depths of 50 to 150 meters.

This project continues to be in need of support from partners, collaborators, and those that are just plain curious about these alluring and inspiring deepwater coral reefs.

An April scouting mission to Andros Bahamas was very productive. Stay tuned as the project develops in 2010.
