While I’ve been out in the community a bit less than I usually am given a very demanding field schedule coupled with after work hours fatherhood, I figured it’s never too early to start educating the little ones about the ocean – even from our very own backyard.
So, as it seems, sidewalk chalk art is the medium of choice for at least 15 minutes of our short attention spans each day.
The neighbors seem impressed with my creative side – I’ll let you be the judge! What’s important is that we don’t lose sight of our very blue and far reaching horizons with blinders on from suburbia. It can be very easy to slip and fall into the grind of the day by day, so there’s no better time than at a very young age to encourage creativity and dreaming of the very watery world that we actually live in.
