The team at Ocean Opportunity is pleased to announce the recent release of its short educational documentary entitled ‘The Jamestown Bridge | a Reef from Ruins’. This 10 minute educational film showcases the history of the bridge through to its demolition, and subsequent creation of underwater artificial reefs from demolition debris.
This film is an ideal resource for Rhode Island and New England educators who are interested in engaging students with this fascinating work that is taking place right here in the Ocean State. The two near shore reefs are the first of their kind in New England, and delivering remarkably positive results on the local marine environment.
